Report Writer Officer job
description
Report Writer is responsible for all weekly and monthly narrative report surfacing data in the reporting suite utilizing a variety of techniques required to support both standardized and exploratory data analysis functions. Working closely with all SHO departments to provide reports and access to the information required to support their specific and evolving objectives. The Report writer will go through all ongoing projects and reporting documents (Project documents, Annual Work Plans, annual reports, and project evaluation reports) to draft the progress and end report of projects.
Tasks
In accordance with the SHO Standard Operating Procedures and the HR activity plan, the Report writter will perform the following duties:

• Designs and modifies complex reports in support of highly complex process improvements.
• Monitors the status of all report requests daily, prioritizing as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex report related issues.
• Coordinate with appropriate staff as needed.
• Participates in projects as assigned by manager/director.
• Works independently to complete work in established timelines.
• Tests reports and reporting functionality in coordination with end users to assure data quality.
• Provide documents and conversations translations as required by manager.
• Excellent Communication Skills, both technical and personal.
• Ability to take and learn from constructive criticism, Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
• Being flexible in terms of traveling (Erbil/Mosul) for occasional trips.
• Being flexible to fulfill other tasks as given by manager.
Qualifications and Experience
• Relevant university degree; IT, administration, College of Literature or English Language Educationor similar field.
• Minimum 1 (one) years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• An understanding and commitment to SHO aims and values.
• Excellent command in English and Arabic, written and spoken, is essential.
The Report Writer Officer is hired on five months, part-time contract with the possibility of extension. Salary and benefits are subject to SHO standards for Kurdistan/Iraq. The contract may be extended depending on performance, project requirements and funding, and an understanding with the SHO Director. All SHO contracts are subject to funding.

The Report Writer Officer is based in Duhok and may expect to spend long days in the office to conduct her work as described. The Report Writer Officer is expected to conduct her work in a loyal and efficient manner; show initiative and commitment towards the goals and objectives of the project and Humanitarian Mine Action in general.
The Report Writer Officer is expected to be familiar with and adhere to the SHO Code of Conduct.
